Woodland, WA: Lamiglas, a leading, global innovator in the graphite, fiberglass and composite fishing rod industry, announced today that it would be launching nearly 100 new rods, dozens of component upgrades and numerous cosmetic enhancements highlight the line-up for 2013. Included are several entirely new series which technology has only recently enabled their existence. The Lamiglas Si, Lamiglas Bug Slinger, Lamiglas Infinity Bass and Lamiglas Infinity Fly Series, are modern marvels in their own right. Lamiglas has mastered the use of 3M™ Powerlux™ Resin to improve strength and reduce significant weight.
Steelheader anglers…rejoice. The Lamiglas Si Series reflects the absolute best in rod construction and design. Enhanced sensitivity and strength is achieved using 3M™ Powerlux™ Resin. Now, with this innovative new technology, salmon and steelhead anglers will enjoy superior strength, as much as 40% more strength, with no added weight. 3M™ Powerlux™ Composites feature a revolutionary technology that contains nano-sized spheres of silica so small, they are able to flow between individual filaments of carbon fiber, creating a matrix of strength throughout the entire composite. The resulting material enables Lamiglas designers to develop rods that are not only incredibly strong and durable, but also lighter in weight and more sensitive…a perfect nexus for steelheaders everywhere! The Lamiglas Si Series also features titanium K-frame guides and exposed-blank reel seats. 4 distinct rod models, 2 spinning and 2 casting, from 9' to 9'8" and line ratings ranging from 6 - 8 pound test line to 10 to 15 pound test line.
Lamiglas' new X-11 series rods are sophisticated fishing tools, exhibiting astonishing sensitivity and control, with focused affordability. This Lamiglas series relies on deep press chrome guides, constructed of stainless steel. The combination of their deep pressed ring design and durable finish allows these guides to hold up to the rigors of hard-charging salmon and steelhead. Exposed reel seats provide additional sensitivity and feel, while the glossy merlot color, IM graphite blanks are strikingly beautiful. 13 different rods to choose from ranging in length from 7'9" to 10'6" and line weight ratings from 6 to 12 pound to 15 to 40 pound line test. The resulting material enables designers to develop rods that are not only incredibly strong and durable, but also lighter in weight and more sensitive. A custom machined aluminum reel seat with woven carbon fiber insert anchors the natural black polished graphite blank. This series features five 9' models with line weight ratings from 8 to 12.
