Woodland, WA - From the entirely new Infinity SI Fly Series and Classic Glass U.S.A. Series to the expanded Certified Pro Kwik Series and Excel Inshore rods, Lamiglas comes roaring into 2012 with 49 distinctive new models for anglers from every fishing pursuit.
Bass, salmon, kokanee, trout, offshore, inshore, surf and walleye anglers will all be pleased to see new technique-specific rods designed to enhance their effectiveness and optimize their fishing experience.
Lamiglas' line of premium rods have been developed with precise design and function to deliver angling solutions critical to success in emerging fisheries, tackle advancements and personal preferences. Designed in cooperation with regional and international angling experts like Alberto Knie, Ron Arra, Jared Johnson and many others, these new models have already logged countless days of on-the-water testing to ensure they perfectly satisfy their intended application. The addition of 28 new models brings the complete Lamiglas offering to 424 cataloged rods, 290 blanks, and several privately branded rods.
Jared Johnson of Mountain Tackle is widely recognized as one of the nation's preeminent Kokanee fishermen. With Jared's oversight, Lamiglas produced a rod expressly designed for catching Kokanee. The precise action assures bites are converted to hook-ups and landings. Kokanee have notoriously soft mouths so getting the action right is critical to an effective Kokanee rod. The 8' length allows for a wide trolling spread so you cover more water, more effectively. The CGR 802 L is an 8', 2 piece, light action fiberglass rod rated for 2 to 8 lb. test line and 1/16 – 1/4 ounce lure weights.
Introduced two short years ago, the Lamiglas Excel series has quickly earned its place as a favorite among bass anglers nationwide. The new XL 704 Glass is sure to be another "go-to" crankbait rod. Designed to cast lighter 1/4 ounce to 1 ounce crankbaits, stickbaits and reaction baits, this 1 piece, 7' rod is rated for 8 to 20 lb. test line. The XL 704 Glass is built on a fast blank that's ideal for long launches with light baits. The softer action is tailored to crankbaits allowing surer hook-ups and fewer lost fish.
Serious salmon and steelhead anglers will appreciate the introduction of the EXC 94 MT and EXS 910 ML. Both rods fill an important length and line weight niche and complete the XMG 50 series of rods. The EXC 94 MT is a 9'4" 2-piece magnum taper casting rod rated for 8 to 17 lb. test line is an ideal spoon and spinner rod for covering broad rivers like the Deschutes. The EXS 910 ML, a 9'10" 2-piece spinning rod rated for 8 to 12 lb. pound test line with a moderate/fast action and ideally suited to 1/8 to 3/8 ounce lure weights. Built on an exclusive high modulus Lamiglas blank, these rods are supremely sensitive, powerful and feather light for all day effortless casting. Both rods are near perfect for free-drifting/side-drifting, bobber/jig, diver/bait and drift fishing.
The Lamiglas Kwik Series has quickly become the favorite rod of professional salmon guides. No wonder as this series is widely regarded as the finest salmon rods produced. Wonderfully versatile, strong, beautifully designed to hook and land the world’s toughest king salmon, the Lamiglas Kwik Series has changed the game with an exclusive fiberglass/graphite composite blank that delivers the perfect blend of action, backbone and weight. Responding to the instant popularity of the Kwik Series, Lamiglas has added six new models for 2012! The XCC 801 GH, XCC 802 GH and XCC 803 GH are all 8', 1-piece casting rods that feature a distinctive and ultra sensitive, graphite handle. The XCC 801 GH is rated for 8 to 15 lb. test line and 1/2 to 1 1/2 ounce lure weight. The XCC 802 GH will capably handle 3/4 to 4 ounce lure weights and 10 to 20 lb. test line. The XCC 803 GH is rated for 12 to 30 lb. test line and lure weights from 1 to 6 ounces. In the 9' class are two new rods, the XCC 903 and XCC 934 GH. The XCC 903 is a 9', 2-piece casting rod rated for 1 to 5 ounce lure weights and 10 to 25 lb. test line. The XCC 934 GH features a graphite handle on a 9', 2-piece rated for 10-25 pound test line and lure weights from 1 to 5 ounces. Rounding out the Certified Pro Kwik Series is the XCC 1064 GH. This popular 10'4" 2-piece features a graphite handle and is ideal for downrigger applications. The XCC 1064 is rated for 15-30 lb. test line and 1 to 8 ounce lure weights.
New for 2012! The CGA 803, CGA 86 MHC and CGA 90 DR form an entirely new salmon series. This new rod series offer some intriguing choices for technique-specific applications ranging from bait trolling and pulling plugs to downrigger fishing. Totally American made, these handcrafted rods reflect the highest standards of rod-building workmanship and materials. The CGA 803 is an 8', 1-piece Classic Glass rod ideally suited to pulling plugs and trolling bait, spinners or spoons. The CGA 86 MHC is an 8'6" 2-piece Classic Glass rod rated for lure weights from 1 to 4 ounces and 12 to 25 lb. test. The CGA 86 MHC is another outstanding choice for pulling plugs or trolling bait. Completing this series for 2012 is the CGA 90 DR, a 9', 2-piece downrigger rod rated for 15 to 30 lb. test line and 1 to 6 ounce lure weights. All three rods have ample power to punish hard fighting Chinook with just the right actions to assure solid, confident hook-ups.

The success of Lamiglas' Excel Series for bass inspired the demand to produce the new Excel Inshore Series. Ten entirely new 1-piece rods evenly split between casting and spinning models and all featuring an attractive metallic copper finish. Excel Inshore Series rods are designed to pull snook clear of twisted mangrove roots, redfish out of deep grass or calico bass from thick kelp beds without sacrificing the finesse necessary to lob live bait or light lures into tight quarters. Nine of the ten rods in the series are 7'6", with one 7' spinning model that carries a line rating of 4 to 10 lb. test line. There's a rod for every taste, with your choice of three split grip models or seven rods that feature full cork handles and line ratings up to 10 to 20 lb. test line.

The BFC 7040 W is a 1-piece, 7' rod rated for 20 to 40 lb. test line and was designed for trolling with wire line. The BFC 7640 C is a 7'6", 1-piece rated for 20 to 50 lb. test line and developed for the resurgent east coast cod fishery but works equally well for trolling for albacore. Both are moderate/fast action, heavy power rods.
