Ideal Surf Rod

I'm new at surf fishing and I'm wondering if someone could advise me on which surf rod to buy. I'm fishing the Texas coast around the Padre Island area. I'll be fishing for bull reds and speckle trout and I'm planning to use live bait such as croaker, piggy perch, finger mullet and live shrimp.

I would recomend you look at

I would recomend you look at the XSRA1322-2 for fishing bait for big reds.
