Would an Abu Garcia 6500C pair up well with an XCF 803? I will be using the rods plugs and hover fishing springers and fall run kings.

Hello
The 6500 will work out great for that rod. I will say though the 803 is our best plug rod we make. It would not be my number one pick for hover fishing. Fiberglass is not known to be the most sensitive material. The rod that we make that would be great for your hover rod would be the G 1330 T (Hot Shot Magnum). Hope this helps have a great day.
