Rod Selection for Steelhead fishing

I am looking at buying a Certified Pro Spinning rod and need help deciding between the X96LS and the X96JS. I am wanting to use the rod with Shimano Stradic 2500 with either 8 or 10lb test for fishing small spinners (size 2 and 3), small jigs with small floats, and possibly side drifting or drift fishing. I am leaning towards the X96LS since I already have a X96JC that I use for large spinners(size 4 or larger) and jigs with weight systems up to 1/2 oz. Is the X96LS the right choice or would the X96JS fit this application better? Any advice will be appreciated.

I would go with the X96JS

I would go with the X96JS because you are accustom to the action already in the casting model. I have gone this route recently with two different 10"6" spinning models and wish I hadn't.... Both of mine are rated exactly the same, but the flex is different. I struggle with the feel when moving from one to the other...

Hello Either rod would

Hello

Either rod would work out very well for you. I do believe the LS will work out to be a better side drifting rod though. Hope this helps have a great day.
