So getting some new gear and rather than going with one combo for everything, I'm splitting them up. Have been looking at the EXS 106 ML (10'6", 6-12lb) for steelhead with 10lb line mainly using a jig and bobber, but not exclusively. Might toss some eggs or cork, but mainly a jig/bobber.

Then for salmon I'm open to suggestions for a spinning reel. I'd like something up to the 15-17lb range, for a variety of tackle (eggs, egg/bobber, corkies, etc), and casting distance is desired. Just a versatile salmon rod.

Both will be mainly for bank river fishing.
