rod lure weights versus blank lure weights

I have read in this forum that the XS 661 is a really versatile little rod, but I also noticed some minor controversy over what blank it is built on. So I snooped a little further. According to the blank-to-rod table, the corresponding blank is IMS 781

The rod ratings indicate 6-10 line, 1/16-3/8 lure weights. The blank ratings indicate 6-17 line, 1/4-5/8 lure weights.

Which is correct? Thanks, Joe

The reason why we rate them

The reason why we rate them that way is because the rods we build are more gear specific. When we sell the blanks they are sold for more of a variety of uses. The blank will be able to be used under either rating with no issues. I hope this helps have a great day.
