is this more of a side drifting rod? i see guys fishing bobber and jig with this rod for steelhead. this rod is superlight. it seems it would be a great rod to fish fatigue free all day for steelhead. thanks

Labrador,
This rod is mainly fished as a side drifting rod, however we are starting to see more and more people jig fishing with it, as it is super lightweight. Hope this helps.

I use mine as a drift rod, love it. it has power to spare when fishing 8. I know its far from a traditional drift rod, but I like light 9'6" rods for the application, and 10 minute fights just don't happen, it whips fish quick, have not felt under gunned yet. such a pleasure to hold all day too......absolutely a great side drift rod as well
