Drop Shot Rod

I really liked the CP Drop shot II rods action and performance. Was very intrigued by the new Infinity series and had to order a couple. I just ordered a 703S with the primary intent of drop shotting. How will this rod compare to the DropShot II? Should I have oredered the 702S for a more comparable action>

To be honest the actions of the new XP and Infinity series are much faster and are not as soft in the butt section. However they are a bit more sensitive and more powerful. Thus allowing you to get a bit better of a feel for what is going on in the water below. Hope this helps.

Hubbard, I agree with Jake. I think you'll be happy with the 703S. The blanks are not really comparable because these feel like completely different rods - positively speaking. The sensitivity of the Infinity Bass Rods are outstanding. Let us know what you think when you finally get your rods!
