I am looking for a lightweight casting rod for crankbaits to throw lures like small shad raps and also 1/4 original rapalas. I usually like rods over 7 ft. Any suggestions you could give?

I would run the XL 705 Glass. They work out very well for running Crankbaits. The glass rods have a very soft tip section, this allows the plug to run very well. Yet they still have plenty of back bone to get good hook penetration. I hope this helps have a great day.
