I fish for Sturgeon out of a boat and for Salmon on the beach and boat. I need a two piece rod for storage purposes, and heavy enough for the Sturgeon. I use an Avet MXJ reel with 30# for both, which uses the wider style reel foot. Which is the best model and material for my needs. I looked at the TFX 7030 CT with handle #3, but is is only one piece and short. 8' or 8'6" is my goal.
