Most of my fishing is done from Party Boats in New Jersey. My favorite species to target is fluke. I also fish for blackfish, sea bass, porgie and ling, but the vast majority of my party boat trips are for fluke.

I plan on using a conventional reel with this rod. I typically fish with 3 to 5 oz of weight, but sometimes have to go up to 8 oz. I'd like a quality rod that will allow me to "feel the bite" and handle the weight mentioned above.

Please recommend a rod(s) with specific model numbers. Also, I am open to suggestions for reels and even line for the reel.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
