fralap, you usually will not go wrong if you stick to the manufacure's specs. this being a 6-7 wt. i would suggest throwing a 7 wt. line first. if you are having trouble, try a 6 wt line. a few things to consider are what type of fishing are you doing? sink tips, heavy nymphs. were are you fishing? is it windy, is there room for casting, as well as casting style and ability. the bottom line is what works best for you. i usually find that if i "up line" a rod it will cast better for me. but there are some variables to consider so go out and give it a shot.

T he lamiglas rods wouldn't be my choice for an underhand casting arsenal. I fished your rod for a while a year or so ago and did very well with Airflo Delta and Long Delta lines. Without knowing your experience I'd say use the Long Delta if your a more experienced caster.
