I'm looking for a jig rod. I've read through some of the posts and looking at the catalogs and I don't know if I've found one I'm looking for.
The jigs I fish are usually anywhere from 1/4-1/2 oz. I through them into all types of cover, wood, pads, grass anything the fish might relate to.
When I started I was looking for a 7'MH. I was also looking mostly at the XMG50 series of rods. The EXC705 I'm worried maybe too stout for the size lures I'm targeting. The EXC703 not heavy enough and the EXC704 maybe the sweet spot but the XF is not an action I'm use to. Then there is the EXC724 and from some of the posts on here the Certified Pro series XFT764 seems like a favorite (although bigger than I was orginally considering)
Can someone point me in the right direction?
I'm also looking for a rod for fishing 5-6" senko's in the slop.

In the Certified Pro series, you'll want to look at the XC 724. In the Excel series, it would be the XL 734.
