Well we in California get to fish for salmon again. I need some advice on which G1000 Series rod would be a good mooching rod. We are fishing in 300 ft and using 6 oz weights. I like the G-1303-T one peice rod from the description but I've been told to go with the G1308-T. The 1308-T is rated only to 4 oz and I need to use 6 oz fishing off the party boats...I'm new to mooching so any advice would be apprecieated.
