I'm new to the Rod Squad and hope to learn much from you folks. I am resuming steelhead/salmon fishing after being away from it for many years. I am now retired, have lots of time. My focus, for now, will be mostly the Snohomish-Snoqualmie-Skykomish systems. Someday I'd like to meet up with some of you that know these rivers.
I presently have four Lamiglas rods, ( 1 fly, 3 steelhead G 1306, 1307, and 1325) but am being offered at what seems to be a very, very reasonable cost, a supposedly never fished, AS86MH, I believe 12#-20#. I'd probably use this in the rivers for the heavier salmon. I can't seem to find any info on the "A" series. Are they any good?
Also, what rod(s) do you recommend for trolling/drifting from a boat. I have 13' Smokercraft Alaska that I will use from time to time in the rivers.
Sorry that this is so long, but I have lots of questions. Thanks for your help.
