X96HC

I am considering the purchase of a X96HC. The primary use wouldbe for springers in a river. Does this rod have an exposed reel seat? Thanks

I've seen the X 90 HC, never

I've seen the X 90 HC, never seen or heard of a 96 HC, can't find it in my older catalogs either.

No it's not, the catalog

No it's not, the catalog shows that. That said there is no difference in sensititvity between an exposed and non exposed reelseat on rods. It's much more an ergonomics issue with the smaller bass style reels and comfort while palming the reel.
