Lamiglas Rod Identification

I have a Lamiglas XFS704 2 piece rod that is marked Rippon. It is for a 1/4 - 3/4 oz lure and a line weight of 8 - 17 lbs. It also has 4 Power stamped on it. Can anyone tell me anything about this rod, Price sold for new, type of fishing it was designed for and what rod on the Lamiglas web page would it be equilevent to.

Don't think I've seen that

Don't think I've seen that rod number before, also the rippon doesn't ring a bell, Rippin' does though. Rod discriptions I remember in the Certified Pro rods is XPS, XFW, XSW, X, XS, XDS, XFT, XTS, XCF.

No one knows as much as all of us.

I did make a mistake in my

I did make a mistake in my posting. I misspelled Rippon. Is should be Rippin. The rest of my description is correct. The model is XSF704.

Thanks

Neal

I came across an old yellow

I came across an old yellow fiberglas rod blank that I had wrapped years ago and was wondering when it was made...it is a Lamiglas ST 108 3M....any info appreciated....it was cut down to 8'9" for some reason which I cannot recall...am thinking of refinishing it.....based on the type, number and length any recommendations for best rod type to build

Good afternoon. I'm new to

Good afternoon.
I'm new to the Rod Squad and hope to learn much from you folks. I am resuming steelhead/salmon fishing after being away from it for many years. I am now retired, have lots of time. My focus, for now, will be mostly the Snohomish-Snoqualmie-Skykomish systems. Someday I'd like to meet up with some of you that know these rivers.
I presently have four Lamiglas rods, ( 1 fly, 3 steelhead G 1306, 1307, and 1325) but am being offered at what seems to be a very, very reasonable cost, a supposedly never fished, AS86MH, I believe 12#-20#. I'd probably use this in the rivers for the heavier salmon. I can't seem to find any info on the "A" series. Are they any good?
Also, what rod(s) do you recommend for trolling/drifting from a boat. I have 13' Smokercraft Alaska that I will use from time to time in the rivers.
Sorry that this is so long, but I have lots of questions. Thanks for your help.

You guys would have better

You guys would have better luck with your inquiries if you started a new post so it's easier to see by everyone. Being a custom rod builder I don't pay that much attention to the factory rods as I probably should, that said I think they were a inexpensive rod much like the rods they build for BiMart and others.
