I sent in my TBS 86 ML back in late November 09 for warranty service to replace my rod tip section that warped over a period of time. I had also purchased a second rod tip section for a spare. I received my rod tip sections back in late Feburary, due to rod being discontinued the blank had to be made. No complaints!

Just the other day I was looking at the rod tip sections and notice the tip was thicker as I compared it to my second TBS 86 ML, also noticed the size of the rod tip guide was bigger on the new rod tips. Then I started comparing it to my TBC 86MT which is a medium action, the action and the size was identical.

Has anyone ever experience the same issue where they sent in the rod for service and received the rod back with a different feel? My medium-light now became a medium action rod.
