my woman got me a classic glass rated 8-20 line wt. 3/8-1 oz good for mooching? or what?
then a bi-mart rod cascade pro, 9'0" 15-30 line wt. 3/4-2 oz. kwikfish rod? my buddy says to use the heavier one for the mooching, but don't you want the fish to take that mooching rig and not feel that pole resistance? do you want that for kwikfish though? HELP!

Thought we went through this. The CG 86 MHC will work fine as a light weight mooching rod like for more surface oriented feeders like silvers, it's downfall will be heavier weights and deepwater. Works excellent as a downrigger rod pulling plugs like Silver Hordes for winter blackmouth fishing Puget Sound. Would also be a nice smaller Kwikfish and Hotshot rod for steelhead and the smaller salmon species.
The other rod will fill all the heavier requirememnts just fine. There is probably more info in prior posts here and at Steelheader.net and Ifish.
No one knows as much as all of us.
thank you
