debating on which rod to purchase for surf fishing.

i like the ron arra bc most of my popper weigh between 1-3oz, but i want to use braided lines, which is why i was thinking about the super surf rod,but the problem with the super surf SS11MHS is that the lure weight 4-8oz!

so, if i was getting the super surf 10', will i be able to cast further than the ron arra 11'?

what are yall suggestion?
