Hello everyone,
I am trying to locate a blank for my brother I am in to custom building and would like to build him
a center pin rod for his birthday next month. don't have big money to spend but was woundering if some of
you could point me in the right direction?
he is just getting in to it and really wants a custom rod to got with the custom pin he bought last month.
does lamiglas offer any in-expensive spey blanks I have 3 of 108 8wt and I love them they fish as good, no better then both of my glx 8wts. if anyone can help I would be very greatful!!!!!!!!!!!
wet a line and keep it bent!!
Thanks,
Silverwolf

Unfortunately we discontinued our spey blanks a few years ago. The only thing we have in that length now days are our Surf Blanks, and I don't think those will do the trick. We are currently looking at building some CP rods, but they are probably a ways out.

silverwolf, the first question that comes to my mind is this. does it have to be a spey blank? you do have some other options along the lines of fly blanks or drift rod blanks. some of the cats i know that are utilizing centerpins are fishing light line and light rods. 8/9 or 9/10 spey blanks will make you want to whoop your grandma. unless your bro intends to fish alaska or russia for big fish. which very well may be the case. but be aware there are other options. alhoha...
