reel for the XS 10 MHC surf and jetty rod

I would like some advice on a reel to match my new Lamiglas XS 10 MHC surf and jetty rod; is the abu garcia ambassadeur 7000 iC3 a good match? I'm thinking of matching this combo with 30lb fireline for fishing stripers in the cape cod canal and other cape spots.

That's a good match, but try

That's a good match, but try the Penn International 965 or 975 with the level wind. If you want distance 525mag ore 975cs. All depends what you are going to throw. For top water plugs (polaris) and buck tails, go with 965 or 975
