tropic pro popping/jigging action?

I am very interested in the tropic pro popping rods, particularly the TP 8040 SP. can anyone tell me what sort of action it has(fast,medium,parabolic?) and how it casts distance wise. would be throwing mostly 2and3oz lures,metals and poppers like Polaris,Halco etc from the shore, so distance is important. Also is the blank that this rod is built on the NC962H?

Mod/Fast action.

I cant vouch for how it casts myself, I have never thrown it. However it should throw your 2-3 oz plugs very nicely. I have gotten some good feedback from our customers on it.
