Has anyone ever used a center pin blank to build a casting rod? I've got a "crazy idea" to use 11'3'' center pin blanks to build casting rods. My application will be fishing small plugs(hot-n-tots and wiggle warts) relatively close(~15'-50') off the back corners of my boat for Indiana steelhead. I'm pretty sure I'll end up going with the 10'6'' XSH 126 2M blanks, but wondered if I might be able to get away with using a rod with a little more length and give to it.
