I am considering Lamiglass spinning or drifting Rod for use for primarily drifting egg sacs without bobber. Fishing Finger Lake Tribs in NY. for lake run trout, which usually run several lbs to an occasional 10lb rainbow. Not Great Lakes Fish. No Salmon. Almost always use 6lb test...perhaps 8lb on occassion . I would like to keep rod length approx between 8 to 9 ft as there are often tight quarters in these streams. I don't like really soft or parabolic noodle rod actions at all. I much prefer a light tip with a faster action. Right now I use spinning rod taped on 8.5ft fly rod in 7 or 8 weight. I have no lamiglass dealers where I can get an idea of the actions by holding one. I would like a michigan style shorter butt if possible, but that's not a must have. I appreciate suggestions from those who own lamiglass rods. Price isn't a concern...I am considering Lamiglass, if they make a rod that would fit the bill, but other manufacturers would be ok if you thought that line...Loomis, Croix, had an option Lamiglass didn't. I appreciate any help you may provide.

Lamiglas doesn't make a grip style you're looking for in that short a rod. Not sure if other do either, usually it's in rods at least 9 1/2 ft or longer.
No one knows as much as all of us.
