Recently purchased a pair of CG90DR rods for use with my downriggers and was curious what else they can be used for effectively?
I plan to do some river fishing on the puyallup for Pinks run next year and maybe some drift fishing as well.
Any feedback is appreciated.

A medium power steelhead rod would work well for what you want to do. I myself fish for pinks with a ML 7 ft spinning rod.
No one knows as much as all of us.
Was asking if the CG90DR's that I already have would be effective in a river fishing environment.
I was considering using it for plugs, kwikfish, buzzbombs and possibly floats.
I also was considering the certified pro "Herring" rod to fill this role.
Your thoughts? better recommendation? I'm all ears.
Personally I think it would work fine for pulling plugs and such. Should be nice for kings and blackmouths. Should be fun on chums also. It will however be a lot of rod for pinks. You might consider something a little lighter for them. I have an 8'-6" MED that I use for pinks, chums, silvers, and steelies. It could be called a bit light for chums but it is a lot of fun.
