lamiglas rod "power" for largemouth and stripers

can someone explain lamiglas' rod power ratings? i have two 5-power rods (SR765R and XCF705R) and both feel more like other manufacturer's 3-power rods. does the lamiglas ratings go from 1 to 8, whereas others go from 1-5? i was quite surprised when even a 18" striper is able to completely bend my XCF705R the way it does...do i need an 8-power rod for a 10-pound striper?

Hello We do rate our rods

Hello

We do rate our rods 1-8 power, 1 being the lightest and 8 being the heaviest. as far as your rod goes it is hard to compare The XCF 705 R or the SR765 R to a 5 power graphite rod they are two different types of rods. The glass will have more flex and the Graphite will not load to the point the glass will. That does not at all mean you are pushing the limit with the glass rods. You will be surprised what they are capable of. Hope this helps have a great day.
