I'm looking to build a couple lake sturgeon rods. I'm trying to find a blank in the 7.5-8.5 foot range, 20-40 lb line. I would prefer a med-heavy, fast action rod. Only throwing 1-4 ounces of lead, fishing anywhere from 18-35 ft of water. Thanks for any help with this.

You might check out the GSH 108 2HX or the GLB 108 2ML. I am going to buy the G1316-T in a couple of weeks for the same purpose. Right now I am using my Back Bouncer for sturgeon and it is working well but I want just a little more for the big ones.
