Your rodbuilder can set the rod up for any reel/ line combo your be using. You'll want a rod that throws a bit over your upper limit or a 3 oz offering will be sluggish. Mod/fast actiom sounds like what you need.
Look at a factory rod that fits your needs, that go to the blank section, use the rod to blank cross refence to pick the blank. Your builder will set the guides up to fit your reel/line needs, actually I'm sure they will also be able to use their experience to help with the blank also.
