So I was just wondering how readily available replacements are for the xmg rods in general? I was just curious because I was told that parts were very scarce and it took forever to get a broken rod of this series fixed, repaired, or replaced. I have 2 of these rods and was just curious if there was any truth to this. Also I was told that these rods brake easily is that true?

Haha. Sounds like you've been listening to a loomis fan. I'm going out later with my XMG, I'll let you know how it holds up.

I've heard of some breakage issues as well, mostly on some of the early models. I doubt it is any different than breakage issues with a Loomis IMX. When you get to this level of graphite, the rods become very fragile. It's something you have to live with in order to get the sensitivity they offer. I'll take the sensitivity with a risk of possible breakage any day, especially when the rod has a lifetime warranty.
