Guys,
My father-in-law had some kenai specials that he bought about 8-10 years ago. They are his favorites and over the years he's lost a few. I want to get him a replacement, but he's under the impression that the one they make now has a different action, weight, etc. than the one they made that long ago. Does anyone know if this is the case? Also, if I wanted to get him a rod today that is similar to those older Kenai specials, what would everyone recommend?

Think I spoke to you on the phone earlier today so I think we are good. But for those who are wondering, the Kenai Special has been the same for many many years.

The earlier rods had a different, larger foregrip, that's the only difference I've noticed. Still one of my favorite Lamiglas rods.

I use 25 pound main-and 15 leaders, So far the biggest fish landed with it was a 44 pound nook, and be for that many---many 8 to 30 pounds, the rod I use the most, I have had it for about 10 years now, and it's my go to rod.

I just got my 1314T a few days ago from a friend, caught a 25lb salmon the first day. Love the rod.
