I'm looking for a all round finnese spinning rod for Flick Shake worms,Shaky heads and drop shoting . What rod would be better the XPS 702X or XPS 704 ?

For "All Around" use I'd buy neither one, I'd get the XS 661. You'll send the next 10 years finding other things that rod will do well. The specs in the catalog are very deceiving as to the action/power of this rod and what it can do.

What is the XS661 in the blank only? What graphite composite is it? Thanks

IM 700 graphite is what the

IM 700 graphite is what the Certified Pro rods are built on. Comparable to the new IMX layups since they went to light/high quality glass scrim some years ago, which is what IM 700 always used, and they were always a more durable blank, but still light and sensitive because of it.
Have accidentally caught 25+ lb chiinook pulling walleye gear on the Columbia River with the XS 661 and XC661, the rods had all the power I would ever need to control the fish. The day in question was back in the early 90's. I caught smallies, walleyes (one over 8 lbs), an 8 lb steelhead and the chinook, switching between 8 and 12 lb line on the spinning reel as the day/conditions dictated.
Fished the Florida flats for bone, reds and other critters with no problems either. Name a fish within reason and the light tip and good fast butt power without an abrupt lockup this blank has will do you proud.
Smallies, trolling or ripping stickbaits for big brown trout, walleyes, and many other things thie XS and the XC 661 do very well.
Need to teach someone to cast a casting reel both smoothly and accurately, the action of the XC 661 is just about perfect and still has the power for many presentations and uses while they learn.
