Hi guys,
just a quick intro : I'm Dan, I'm a fishing guide in Spain. I fish mostly for big European Catfish called Wels. They go anywhere upto 240lbs and measure upto 2.6 meters long. BIG fish !
I'm getting a rod made by RKCUSTOMFISHINGRODS (who i see is a member on here, hi Rick!)
Just wondering if the blank : LSB1202M would be man enough to take such huge fish ? Its 4/12oz casting weight, 10 foot ... sounds like quite a beasty rod but I'm not too sure as its described as a "medium" strength.
Whats everyones opinions ? Seeing that these fish pull very hard and weigh alot ...
Any views appreciated, hope I havn't babbled on too much !?
Thanks,
Dan

Welcome Dan,
I don't see that blank in my current catelog and am un-familiar with the model. I am guessing it is one of our older fiberglass blanks. Guys over here use similiar blanks and land sturgeon close to the same size as your European Catfish. I tihnk it would work. Hopefully some others can weigh in with their thoughts.
Good Luck.
