I have a CGR 762 L Kokanee rod I use with downriggers. Love the rods action, using on 3 to 5lb. Koks, Rainbows and Mackinaw. Would like to bump up a slight bit in power and remain moderate action for (hopefully) larger Macks. Probably something that would cover 4 to 10 lb fish (there is a chance to catch 20+ lb. Mack). The 2 choices I see are XFC 801 and CG 82 DR. besides difference in grade of rods, how do actions compare. Also, web site and catalog differ on action of XCF 801, moderate or fast? Troll lures from squids to 1 oz. spoons behind 0000 to 5 1/2" dodgers.
Thanks for advice,
WyoJohn

Go with the XCF801 it is a mod action and has the perfect amount of power. The CG is a bit heaver than I would want for that but would work.
