The X90HC would be the first one that comes to mind if you are wanting to drift fish and fish spoons.

Does the X90HC have an exposed blank reel seat? Can't tell from the picture online. Thinking it may be a good drift rod for Knigs down here in heavy current with 20lb test mono. How is it for sensitivity? Thx. NCD.

It doesn't have the exposed blank reelseat. Sensitivity is about as good as you can get for a chinook drift rod.

what would be a good casting reel to go with it
If you could find one of the silver Curado 300's would be perfect. Otherwise there are tons of options depending on what you want to spend. A lot of guys go with the Abu Garcia 6500 to save on $ and still have a good casting reel.
