Just curious if anyone out there has had hands on one of these Mag Taper rods. I'm just about convinced, but nowhere has one in stock to look at.
I'm liking the fast tip action and the heavier back end action for some big fish work.
Seems like it should be useable for all applications steelhead and coho and maybe even for bank fishing for springers.
Any thoughts?
You made a good choice, it will certainly do big fish duty including springers. Exactly why it was built, big fish/heavier water conditions.
No one knows as much as all of us.
It's exactly what you are looking for. Great big water/big fish rod. Would make an excellent springer drift rod also.
