Bobber rod for steelhead and chinook

I've pretty much decided on a Certified Pro X 96 JS for bobber fishing for most of my steelhead applications. But what rod would you recommend for bobber fishing from the bank for chinook fishing?
Also, what rod would you recommend for tidewater bobber fishing for chinook?

Thanks!

Hello Folks! Let me get in

Hello Folks! Let me get in on this topic. I'm looking to do some float fishing from the bank on the Stilly. Maybe heading up river on the Skagit as well and then there's the Olympic peninsula calling.... What do you think of a spinning setup using a G200 series MBS 106ML rod? It's in my budget! Thanks in advance for your inputs.

My favorite bobber and egg

My favorite bobber and egg rod for chinook is the G 1348T. Yes I know it says 'Herring Rod" but it makes a heck of a chinook bobber rod. Good choice on the JS. It is my personal favorite steelhead float rod.

On the other topic, I am a fan of the MBS 106L and I think it will make a great float rod. The only thing you are losing by going with a g200 is the lifetime warranty. But you probably wont need it.

Cool, thanks for the advice.

Cool, thanks for the advice. I'm glad I got some confirmation on the JS. Also, thanks for pointing me in the right direction a bobber and egg rod.
Any advice for a bank chinook float rod, or will the 1348T double up as a bank and tidewater rod? I saw in another post that you mentioned the JS had enough backbone for 'nooks, but would you recommend it as a full time chinook float rod?
Sorry for asking a million questions, I just want some professional advice before I go out and spend hundreds of dollars. haha.

Thanks!

No, I wouldn't recommend for

No, I wouldn't recommend for nooks. The 1348T would be a good bank and tidewater rod. The JS is an awesome steelhead float rod, which can handle occasional incidental Chinook hookups if handled properly.
