Magnum Taper

Can someone explain what "magnum taper" is and its function, such as on the Cert Pro X89MTC? Thx. NCD.

its sensitive light on the tip and butt of the rod is thick and strong i have the cert pro x96mts is a magnum taper

It lets you fish a variety of different presentations or weight and baits well. The taper isn't as pronounced as on a hot shot rod or the other MTs. An excellent, versatile rod in either the XMG or Certified pro versions. It will do just about anything you could need, but big, heavy weights and lures.
