Thanks you for the guide to

Thanks you for the guide to the rod forum. Another fetcher that would be nice if the person that posted a topic or a reply could edit it. It gets a little redundant if someone by mistake puts up multiple posts of the same thing. Or is a reply isn't quite what you wanted it to say, it would be nice to edit it. Thanks

I personally fish the XCF

I personally fish the XCF 904. But look at the XCF 803, XCF 862/864, XCF 903/904, XCF 1064/1065. These are all fiberglass rods that troll excellent. We also make a new composite rod the XCC 934 and XCC 1064 which are a graphite/fiberglass blend.

All of these rods above are great herring rods.

Thank you,

I am looking for a rod and

I am looking for a rod and reel combination to fish the Trask river from the bank. I've seen or heard many rods snap when the angler ran out of bank while following the fish down river. I would be casting a small weight and fishing with yarn. The fish are from 20 to 40 pounds and are hard to stop when they get in the current. Any suggestions?

What’s the best Lamiglas

What’s the best Lamiglas model for trolling for salmon in salt water using herring or spinners ?

I'd appreciate some input!

I'd appreciate some input! What Lamiglas spinning rod would be best suited for coho and pink salmon in SE Alaska? I will be fishing in medium-sized streams, estuary areas, as well as in saltwater bays. I would mostly cast spinners and jigs with the rod. I am hoping to pair the rod with a Shimano Stradic FJ. I am willing to spend around $200.

I make a yearly trip to

I make a yearly trip to Kodiak Island during the Silver run. My current favorite rod is a Lamiglas Rogue River Special. I am taking my wife along for her first time this year and am going to let her use my "old reliable" and try something new. I am looking for recommendations as a replacement to the Rogue River model. I like the 8'6" length but am open to any suggestions.
Thanks!

Lorenzo

I'm looking for a rod to use

I'm looking for a rod to use for jigging Salmon and Halibut under 40 lbs, 3 to 6 oz Crippled Herring and or Needle Fish jigs. 150 to 200 ft of water on a Charter boat out of the west coast of Vancouver Island. I prefer a longer rod. I'll be using an Abu Garcia Record RCN 60HC reel.
