Could you use this rod XS 15 MHC ? I like that it is 15 foot.
Not knowing where your fishing and what size fish you're targeting, I'd look at the Big Heavers. A 15 ft rod is OK if your a large feller. I'm 6 ft 1 in and 240, I've never thought I get the best out of a rod that long, a bit shorter works best for me.
No one knows as much as all of us.
Just depends if you can adapt to it or not. I've seen smaller guys 5'4 150lbs toss 150+ yards easily. Again for a rod with that length (15') there is a high learning curve.
For me, I prefer the getting a custom gsb1502mh. I highly recommend it for a beginner. It's light weight and easy to load. The sweet spot is 6-8oz.
Probably the #1 favorite rod among striper fishermen on the east coast for a reason. It's very light weight and powerful.
