I need some help with my purchase which I plan to make from a dealer on the internet soon.

My question is simple - which rod do you recommend? Here is what I want to do.

Beach fishing for coho ( silvers ) that range from 5 - 15 pounds. A 20 pound king might be in the mix.

No surf to contend with
15 - 20 pound maxima line
1/2 ounce to 2 ounce weighted spoons and spinners
Need to be able to maximize the length of the cast
Lots of power in the cast to reach the coho

I have a Shimano Cacutta round cast reel.

Most guys have a longer rod with fewer eyelets.
