rod for lake trout

i am planning a trip to get some lake trout in tahoe. just wondering what rods you would use. i own a wide range of salmon rods and a few trout rods. thanks and good luck

Hello it depends on if you

Hello it depends on if you are trolling w/down riggers or without, or jigging. With down riggers I would be sure and use glass. Like the XCF 862 or in a lower price point the CG 89 MHC if you are trolling without a down rigger one of our Med/Hvy salmon rods will work great. Which you might already have in your arsinal. If jigging I would run the G 1330 T (Hot Shot Mag) Hope this helps you.
