I had a friend ask me about building a flipping rod. He wants a 7' 6" one piece parabolic. Has Lamiglas got anything like that? The only parabolic rods I have dealt with just seemed to be very slow, stiff tip with little backbone.
Suggest a good one piece 7' 6" blank that makes a good flipping rod.
Thanks, Les

Your friend is using an incorrect term for what he wants, the Dee Thomas IM700 flipping stick blank Lamiglas used to make I believe is what he was looking for in action. Check with Lamiglas and see if they have a blank now with those characteristics.
I myself hope they still have a similar blank because it was a dandy along with the other Dee Thomas blank I believe they still make the DTIMC 84 M. Both blanks were really developed by Rich Forhan, a rod designer and tournament angler in CA, and named to honor his old friend who invented flipping. Many of the innovations just coming out in bass rods recently were Rich's innovations he delevoped 15 years or so ago. Some are on the Excel rods.
If they don't have a blank, I may still be able to help with a similar blank design from another source.
No one knows as much as all of us.
A 765 is an amazing flipping rod. Hands down best flipping rod next to a 705.
The 765 is hard to come by and I Have a rod in the competitor series that is a tepescope rod. they no longer make it and they never put this rod into production. it was a rod they used to develope a flipping rod. this rod packs a punch and holds up beautifuly, im glad i own this rod.
thanks, Casey
Flipn 'N' Pitchn is always the solution.
