I am interested in making a Certified Pro 9'6" rod using blank XSH114-2L and wondered where to find information regarding the dimensions of the handle. I like cork.

The rear grip is 11.5" and the for grip is 2.5". Is there any other dimensions that you are neeeding?

Thanks for your help. My next question is where do I find the recommended spacing and guide sizes. Also the person I am making this for asked if there is any advantage going to the Certified Pro blank versus the G1000 blank. He now has a G1367 which I'm quite sure is the same as the GSH114-2L and really likes the rod.
Dear Jake:
Disregard my last email regarding the guides and spacing for the rod I plan to make. I found the information when looking further on this web page. I would appreciate any thoughts on any advantage using the Certified Pro versus the G1000 blanks.
Thanks for your help
The Certified pro's are made up of a little bit higher modules graphite and have a few more technique specific actions in comparison to the G-1000 series. However the G-1000 blanks have the been the bread and butter series for us for a long time and have a great following. I would say go ahead and shake both of them and choose the one that fits your needs the best. Hope this helps.

Thanks. My friend really likes the G-1000 blank so I am going to go with the proven blank. Thanks again for your help.
Dear Jake:
I am getting ready to order the rod blank and handle for the Lamiglas GSH114-2L steelhead rod. I normally buy everything from Mud Hole. I am having trouble trying to figure our what cork to buy that meets your dimensions and would look like the handle #1 shown on the finished rod on this web page. Your help would be appreciated. I realize it will be a custom made rod so it may be a little different but I want to make it as good as possible for a friend.
Thanks again.
Bill
WRHALL,
I am a little confused by your question? What do you mean you are having a hard time finding cork? Another supplier is anglers workshop here in woodland if you need another company to buy from.

Dear Jake:
I was trying to find a rear grip and fore grip cork handle exactly to the dimensions you provided of 11.5 inches and 2.5 inches. I finally decided on getting the handle kit from Mud Hole made for steelhead rods that is a little longer but I'm sure it will be fine. It is one of the handles made for St.Croix blanks with a taper just like the one pictured for the Lamiglas steelhead rod. The only difference will be the composite cork at the butt end which I prefer anyway.
Thanks for letting me know about Anglers Workshop. I will check them out.
