I want to make my brother a light 7 ft surf rod. Need recommendations for which lami blank would be best for that length in a spinning model. The BXC 845F looks good but can I put spinning guides on it? Also need recommendations for the guide numbers and placement. Would they be the same as listed for the Lamiglas casting rod. Thanks

For those interested, here is the response that I got from the folks at Mudhole.com (h-m-m-m, I would have thought that the Lamiglas folks would have been interested in providing an answer?):
Yes you will be able to use it spinning or casting. It just depends on which side of the spine you build on.
Guide sizes (just a suggested sizing and spacing, every rod is a little different though): 30-20-16-10-8-7-6 then a tip.
Spacing (inches from tip): 4 - 8.5 - 13.5 - 19.5 - 27 - 36 - 49.
