Hello everybody ,Im new to this site and this is my fist post so I hope someone can answer my question for me
Ive been out of rod building for a while and just getting back into it and I want to start useing lamiglass blanks but my product knowlege of them is very poor. I used to build a small light surf model on a purglas 3000 and wanted to know a compatable lamiglas blank. So Im wanting a lami in the 9ft range to take about a size 18 or 20 reelseat to cast out about 2 oz lead , casting distance wold be a priority. probley a fast to medium taper but with a good stong action (response,recovery) It would have about a 4000 size small spining reel spooled with braid.......
I hope Ive provided enough info for a reply I could add what fish I would be targeting but I lve in western australia and american fishing seems so different but here goes anyway. herring and skippy in the light range and australian salmon ,small strippy tuna and flathead in the heavier range , this rod would be mainly used in medium surf and the odd breakwall ect . price would have no bearing .thanks to all who take the time to read
