Looking for light tackle rods with fast action for targeting Rockfish (stripers) on Chesapeake in late summer/fall. Want 2 rods.

Surface Plug rod
Throwing 1/4oz Jig head with soft body lures

Looking at BS 722S or 723
Looking at XLS 703S

Please advise the right rod with right action for my application.

I currently fish St. Croix, Loomis and TFO rods.

I would go with the BS 723,

I would go with the BS 723, you will love the action of these blanks, as well as the aesthetics of the rod. Hope this helps.
