I recently bought an XCF 904 from Bob's in Longview. This 904 has a trigger on it, which I thought this model didn't have.... I am really happy that it has one, but want to know if its possible to get an XCF 903 with a trigger as well? I don't know if the rod I bought was a one off or you guys are starting to make them with triggers.... So my question for you guys is: Is it possible to get an XCF 903 with a trigger? and was my XCF 904 a one off?

No expert on why Lamiglas does things, but I usually put triggers on rod when I know or anticipate a lower framed reel will be used. If a higher framed, bigger spooled reel is used than I use a reelseat like you see in the catalog, it's more comfortable than a trigger seat would be with a big reel. Reels like the Abu 5500, 6500, Quantum Cabo PT 31, etc would be fine with a trigger. Penn 320, Shimano Tekotas, etc. I'd like the other reelseat.
No one knows as much as all of us.
I put an Abu Garcia Record #61 on my 904, so the trigger works great. I just want to know if I can get an XCF 903 with a trigger as well. I won't have a large reel on it (since it will be my springer rod), probably the same reel I have on my 904. I was just curious as to why my 904 has a trigger, when the catalog says they don't come with them.

As of 07-08-09 we have changed the XCF 903 and CXF 904 to have triggers. They were changed do to popular demand.
