Thank you for your reply. I was thinking about heading to the Portland area this weekend. Maybe I can get my hand on that model, drool over it, and maybe make a purchase. I do currently have an 1141 gl-3. I have used it for bobber fishing a few times. It works o.k., but seems a little light on the hook set/ take up. Would that rod dbl as a good summer "drift rod" or is it too light in your opinion?

It would be a good drift rod if you are drifting with light lead like 5 bbs or 1/4oz or less. It will have more power and a faster action than your 1141.

The EXS96L is a saaawweeeeetttt stick. Perfect for drift fishing low clear water. Way better than the 1141...that thing feels like a wet noodle to me and therefore not as sensitive for drift fishing.

I think only Lamiglas products should be mentioned on their site, they're paying and managing it for our use.
Bank fishing with the real light powered rods is just asking for a big dead native on the end of your line, I've been there in less enlightened times when I had to swim the Toutle R. three times to keep up with a biggun. I now wouldn't recommend a rod any lighter than a 6 to 10 lb rod, the lighter ones are OK for boat use where you can keep more on top of your quarry and get them in and released more quickly.

Spoonplugger - keep in mind not everyone who fishes a Lami rod is fishing PNW rivers where there are natives...and big ones to boot.
