Recently acquired a new to me Lamiglas blank, it reads :
Lamiglas Engineered Graphite 8-1/2 / GF102 6/7
Line # - 6 or 7
Made in USA
I am hoping to find out some more information on this blank including the guide spacing as a 6wt.
When were these manufactured ? What million modulus is the graphite ?
It has the internal graphite spigot ferrule. Did they all come like this ?
Thanks very kindly - Brian Shaffer

I cannot edit my post... so I will add this info :
I did a search and found that my ferrule isnt actually a spigot style.
Instead it is either a sleeve or a flared ferruled rod blank.
Not sure how to tell which is which... and I guess you cannot post pictures here. Just wait for help.
cheers - Brian

Haven't used guide spacing charts in years, but this is the one sent me by Lamiglas years ago I think.
4,9,15,22,29.5,37.5,46,54.5,63.5,73. Your blank is G 1000 material. If it's not tip over butt than probably a sleeve ferrule rod.
No one knows as much as all of us.
Your blank has what we called a precision ground ferrule. It would be considered a flared ferrule with a spigot insert. They were made until the late 70 early 80s were made of 36 million modulus. SP1s spacing should work well.

sp1 and coop : this, 4,9,15,22,29.5,37.5,46,54.5,63.5,73, means inches from tip down - right ?
I'm pretty sure thats right... but not 100%
Thanks for the info.. I spread the word to a few fella's (on other forums) to check this one out when in doubt!
cheers, Brian
